Libraries and Resource Centre code of conduct
Help us to provide a safe and pleasant working area for all by:
- Using the Libraries and Resource Centre for study purposes and working quietly.
- Showing respect and consideration for other students and staff.
- Complying with requests from Libraries and Resource Centre staff.
- Carrying your student ID at all times and showing it to staff upon request.
Whilst you are here, we expect you to:
- Refrain from eating and drinking in the Libraries and Resource Centre.
- Ensure the volume of your Personal stereo is kept to a minimum to avoid disturbing other users.
- Leave the Libraries and Resource Centre to make or receive phone calls.
- Maintain a minimal level of noise.
- Follow the student code of conduct.
- Respect staff, other students and the Libraries and Resource Centre.
In return, staff promise to:
- Answer your enquiries with a friendly and polite manner.
- Treat all students fairly and consistently.
- Challenge inappropriate behaviour whenever they encounter or become aware of it.
Students who do not comply with this code of conduct may be asked to leave the Libraries and Resource Centre or even be subject to disciplinary procedures.
